Dakhla Oasis
Monuments Dakhla ( Capital Mut ) is the second provincial capital of the Governorate and lies 200 km . north west of khargha . Midway is Zayyan resthous . Dakhla contain several wells , the most important of which are : The Mut wells in which the temperature reaches 43C . One well is 1224 meters deep . It has a round swimming pool and tourist resthouses with complete facilities . The Pharaonic Wells of Ayn al-Qasr in wich water temperature reachs 45آ¸’C . Al-Mizawaka Tombs :- Located 35 km. away , date back to the Roman period. The most important are the tombs of Badi Basent and Badi Wazir .
Al-Qasr Village ( Islamic ) :- The mosque dates back to the Ayyubid period. It has a three-storey mud-brick minaret, 21 meters high, and wooden lintel decorated with inscription frome the Koran at the entrances .

Bashendi :-
A village of Pharaonic design located about 40 km. east of Mut, it hosts an Islamic cenmetery as well as Roman tombs, the most significant bieng the Tomb of Kitnes.

Balat Village ( Islamic ) :-
Dates to the Turkish period and remains populated .
Balat Village ( Pharaonic ) :- Contains mastabas of the 6th Dyn .

Temple of Dier Al-Hagar :-
Dating back to the Roman period, it is dedicted to Amun and his wife Mut and has inscription represeting religious life .
