 Hibis Temple :-

One of the temples built for the worship of God Amoun, lies about 2 kms north El Kharga, and dates back to the XXVI Dynasty. On its walls, the religious life of the ancient Egyptian, the story of king Narmer and unification of upper and lower Egypt are pictured. Its importance lies in the fact that it represents the pharaonic, persian,ptolemic and roman historical ages.


El Bagawat Cemetry :-
The name El Bagawat has been attributed to the tombs`domes. It is a cemetery dating from the third. to the 7 th. Century A.D.,comprising 263 chapels amidst which stands a church, which can be considered one of the oldest coptic churches.

El Gheweta Temple :-
A bout 20 kms south of El Kharga, built for the worship of the holy triade (Amon-Mhut-Khnso), and dates back to the XXVII Dynasty(522 B.C.)

Dush Temple :-
A bout 22 kms from Baris, in the desert, built for the worship of God Serapis and goddess Isis, and dates back to the Roman Emperors:Justinian,Trajan and Hadrian.

El Kharga Museum of Antiquities :-
Houses a large number of ancient Pharaonic,Persian,Ptolemaic,Roman,Coptic and Islamic objects.

Kasr El Zayan Temple :-
About 25 kms south of El kharga, built for the worship of god Amon,and dates back to Ptolemaic era.
